Plant your water lilies in a pot of diameter 15 – 16 inches. The pot needs to be filled with good quality aquatic soil.
Now place this pot inside an aquatic planter that does not have any holes for drainage
Keep the plant exposed to sunlight for 7 to 9 hours a day
Choose a suitable tank and fill it with aquatic soil. Add fertilizer to enhance the growth
Pull the Lilly from the old pot, wash it well and trim the old fleshy roots leaving the new white roots
The plant has to be now placed inside the tank in the right position. The root ball has to be placed at the top of the soil and towards the side of the tank. Also make sure that the bulb is placed at a 45 degree angle
Now add a thin layer of aquatic soil and place pea gravel above it with some space around the stems so that the soil will not float away. Make sure the gravel is washed well before placing it inside the aquarium
Fill the tank with water slowly without disturbing the planted soil
Place your tank in a place where there is access to maximum sunlight and you will see the water lilies flourish in the pond or aquarium
