Step 1 – Remove the plant from package
Remove the plant from the pot. The plant is usually kept in a medium called the Rockwool. Remove the Rockwool from the roots by making use of a pair of tweezers. It might be little difficult to not to rip off the roots in the process, but it’s okay to do so because roots are basically useless.
Step 2 – Pesticide Neutralizer
Soak/Spray the plant with a pesticide neutralizer that is safe. Rinse the plant well in water to get rid of pests and snails.
Step 3 – Rinse
Rinse the plant thoroughly in water to remove any residues of rockwool.
Step 4 – Trim
Cut off the roots from the plant.
Step 5 – Attaching the rock
Select the lava rock with which you want to attach your Anubias plant. Make use of the appropriate lava rock which would suit the hardscape of your aquarium.
Step 6 – Tie the plant
Place the plant in a comfortable position on the rock and pass a wood tight or fishing line through the stems of the plant and around the rock to attach them together. Tie them at more than one spot to avoid misplacement. Do not tie it too tight as its purpose is to just make it stay in place.
Step 7 – Trim
Cut off the excess wood tight as it might hurt the fishes in your aquarium, also trim the old leaves from the Anubias bunch.
Step 8 – Placement
Place it at an appropriate place in your tank as per your aquascape.
Once placed appropriately according to the aquascape, Cut off the extra-large leaves that are sticking out to suit your tank layout.
